I've been cranking out some new tracks this year, have been trying to produce and publish with some regularity (I'm aiming for at least one song per month, or trying to stay ahead of that goal). It started off strong this year with "What Hop" and has just progressed from there. After that one, I had it in mind to (at some point) arrange them into a playlist to reflect their release as an album, which will be forthcoming once I have about 6-8 total tracks that fit the theme.

The theme of course being, when I tell people I make glitch hop, or trip hop, or chip hop, and people ask "You make what-hop?"

To which the only fit reply is:

Yes. Yes, I do.

The break between this past Spring Semester and my upcoming class in July I feel I've gotten to put in some quality time playing music. I set myself the task of arranging and publishing my latest projects as an "album," which is fittingly called, "And, the Big Reveal!" And, here it is:

They are the songs I have been developing since my releases in the 1st quarter in 2021; at least, the few I've hammered into a state "fit for publishing." I won't share a more lucid opinion of them.

I'm excited I'll be taking Music Fundamentals this summer. It's a much-needed refresher; fingers crossed that I can apply those knowledge and skills in future productions.

Was keeping busy with increased workload and schoolwork (oh and a new feline roommate!), but the big work project is largely wrapped, and mid-terms are past. Having some hiccups getting the rest of my school semester (and planning for summer classes) worked out, but all that scribble out and take note of this only:

A lot of my production has been focussed on practicing the programs and instruments without much regard to how it all contributes and affects the whole piece (see: Knockin' It Over). But I'm playing with new drum styles and am confident that it's expanding my skillset as an artist and as a technician. There's still a LITERAL WORLD-FULL of stuff to learn, but the year's been great and I am hopeful that good is in store for the present and future.
